Subline is no longer a permanent cruise bar. The basement at 129-130 St James's Street now trades most of the week as Nautilus Lounge, a cocktail and live-music bar. Roughly every other month the Subline team takes the space over for a kink-positive, fetish-friendly club night with DJs, dancing and darkrooms. The organisers say everyone is welcome regardless of gender or sexuality, though it is pitched as a masc cruising night. Entry is £8 on the door or £6 early-bird online, with a £1/£3 cloakroom donation to Terrence Higgins Trust. Fetishwear is encouraged but not compulsory, and full frontal nudity is not allowed. The venue is a basement with steps and is not wheelchair accessible.
